It is supposed to be somewhat of a secret … But hardly anyone in our extended family (mother’s side) reads this thing so we’re not blowing any whistles and tooting any horns when I tell you (y’all) we are barnstorming to southern Georgia this weekend to help celebrate Granny’s 80th birthday (a few weeks early).
So, hopefully you’ll see lots and lots of photos this weekend.

We had a really nice weekend with a lot of good stuff going on. One of the highlights included celebrating the 25th anniversary of Dairy Queen’s Blizzard. DQ ran a special this past week offering a 25 cent Blizzard with the purchase of any other Blizzard of the same or bigger size. I convinced Will that this was a great reason to drive 30 minutes to the nearest DQ on Sunday (the last day for the promotion).
Our medium and small Blizzards only cost $4.11. I love ice cream places of all varieties, but Dairy Queen is iconic. It’s relatively inexpensive, but still, oh so delicious. I will save my ice cream sonnet for another time and leave you with these pictures.

This is a tad late. Well, more like, a month late. I previously promised to document the process leading up to our trip but obviously, failed in being timely about it. So, the big news is that Brittany finally received her visa (like a month and a half ago …).
So, with less than four weeks to go, all we have left is to begin our quinine cycle.
